FLOOR TILE
For look as well as function, we recommend larger tile sizes for your floor. Bathroom floors get a lot of traffic
so larger tile sizes using less grouting provide for easier cleaning. In addition to the more common ceramic and porcelain
tiles, other floor tile types can include slate, marble, saltillo tile, terrazo, terracota and others. Please read about
the main tile types below.
CERAMIC FLOOR TILE
Ceramic tile is the most commonly used floor tile and is very durable. Ceramic material is porous so the
top surface is usually sealed with a glaze. The glaze provides the design layer and determines the tile’s color and
texture. It is easy to clean, does not absorb odors, and is highly resistant to allergens and bacteria. It is also highly
scratch and moisture resistant.

PORCELAIN FLOOR TILE
Porcelain tile is denser and generally stronger than ceramic tile. But those same properties make it more difficult to
install. A big advantage of porcelain is that because it is not 'glaze coated' it is the same through-out the tile. So if
it ever chips it will be much less noticeable.

TOILET MODELS
While it seems like there would not be much difference in toilet options, there are now many newer toilet designs that
increase flushing power and save substantial amounts of water.
STANDARD TOILET
We can recommend a few different models of American Standard or Kohler toilets as the standard base models.
All of these toilets meet the required standards for low flow and low water consumption.

HIGH FLUSHING POWER TOILETS
We recommend a few specific higher quality toilets that have exceptional flushing power. These highly engineered
flushing systems are great for avoiding clogs and offer many other advanced features such as better glazing and more bacteria
resistance.

DUAL FLUSH TOILETS
These high end luxury toilets offer a dual flushing system to maximize water conservation. You can select either
a full flush or a partial flush after each usage to evacuate the toilet bowl with the required amount of water. But
these dual flush systems still offer high performance flushing power.
